About Tamsin

I am a doula who believes in a woman's right to choose.

Tamsin Johnson is a doula based in perth Western Australia
  • Choose how they want to experience their pregnancy.
  • Choose what information to rely on.
  • Choose how their baby is brought into this world.
  • Choose who is with them when this happens and
  • Choose how they raise their family.

I believe a woman has the right to birth her baby free from judgement. I ensure my families are armed with all the information they need to make savvy, informed decisions.

I believe a woman should feel empowered by her pregnancy and should be honoured and revered as the strong and capable woman that she is.

I know that labour can be strong!

It can be overwhelming at times – but it is normal, and it has a purpose.

I am a wife and a mother. I have three lovely, lively kids who keep me grounded, laughing and challenged. I have a wonderful, understanding husband who supports my work and me.

My own three births were highly medicalised, the third resulting in an emergency caesarean section. I came away from my own births with a desire to help women get empowered by their pregnancies and to not feel afraid of the natural occurrence of labour and birth.

I love helping families discover any worries or fears they may have about birth or parenting and help them put them to rest so they can be the best versions of themselves to take on the next challenge of bringing up their child.

My first hand experience with the private sector in Western Australia sees me as a great choice to help families navigate their way through this system.
